The Day: Fall weddings in Tahoe are best known for Aspens turning colors, cool evenings and a return to the slow pace guests are in search of. Mimi knew this having grown up in the area. She sought Sierra Weddings because the Nevada State Bar Exam was looming over her head and she needed the help to pull off her dream wedding.
The bride was a local softball star growing up. After high school she attended Georgia Tech on scholarship where she met Dan, a football player for the university. They fell in love and decided to marry in Lake Tahoe. The ceremony was performed at St. Patrick’s Episcopalian church. String Beings provided processional music as the bride flowed down the aisle with a beautiful bouquet designed by Thran’s Flowers. Christa Hoffarth captured the beautiful fall day on film and Videoquest Productions put together a video to last a lifetime.
The reception was held at the Chateau, located in Incline Village, NV. The rustic confines were filled with the music of McClains mobile DJ. Scott used to announce Mimi’s basketball games in high school and now he got to announce her wedding! The couple loved the caramel apples of Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory and wanted to treat their guests to a unique party favor. The dessert ended up being a dessert buffet that featured several of Sweet Sensations specialties. It was a night to remember as the music and environment kept the party going late into the night.
While on her honeymoon cruise in the Mexican Riviera, Mimi found out she had passed her bar exam. Looks like that help from Sierra Weddings paid off twice!
